'Walter Williams of Plymouth' as he was known in 19th c.
English art circles
used the Plymouth designation to differentiate himself from
the more-famous
'Williams Family of Artists' to whom he was no relation.
Walter Williams specialized
in painting scenes from his native counties of Devon and
Cornwall.
