Oil on canvas, signed 'Edmund Adler'

Adler is best-known for his charming and colorful images of children, inspired by the people and scenery of his native Austria. Adler studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, before being imprisoned in Siberia by the Russians. During his confinement, he continued to produce his charming works, and, on his release, he returned to his native Austria to follow his trade.
